SUMMARY OF BENEFITS(as of September 15, 2011)
401(k) Plan - Learning.com provides a 401(k) plan through Morgan Stanley with ADP as plan administrator. The 401(k) plan allows employees to contribute a percentage of their compensation on a pre-tax basis to a retirement plan. Learning.com will pay 25 cents for every dollar the employee contributes to the plan up to 5% of their pre-tax annual salary (25% of first 5% of pre-tax salary). Regular employees are eligible to participate the first of the month following 1 hour of employment.
ADP iPayStatements - Through ADP, our payroll provider, we are able to offer you access to your earning statements and W-2 forms 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
AFLAC - Learning.com employees may elect to participate in voluntary, supplemental benefits including, but not limited to, insurance for accidents, cancer, hospitalization, sickness, dental and short-term disability.
Airpark - Learning.com employees and family members receive and exclusive discount of $9.00/day when they use Airpark for their "off airport" parking. Airpark has a shuttle service that picks you up at your car and takes you directly to the airport.
Bereavement / Funeral Leave - Employees may take up to three (3) days off with pay to attend the funeral or make funeral arrangements of an immediate family member.
Business Travel Accident - All employees of Learning.com who work 32 or more hours per week are eligible for business travel accident coverage. This includes Commuter Coverage, Business Trip Coverage, World-wide Travel Assistance, and Beneficiary Assistance.
COSTCO - All employees are eligible to receive a corporate Costco Membership discount.
Dental- Dental insurance is provided through MODA. Learrning.com pays 90% of the premiums for regular full-time employees and 80% for their dependents. The effective date for coverage is the first of the month following date of employment.
Employee Assistance Program - All Learning.com employees and their immediate family members are covered by Reliant Behavioral Health, a free, confidential service offering counseling, legal, and financial advising services.
Education / Tuition Reimbursement - Learning.com will reimburse any full-time employees who have been with the company for one year, a maximum of $10,000 in tuition expenses (not including fees, books or supplies) paid to accredited schools, colleges and universities
Flexible Spending Account:
Section 125 (Medical and Dependent Care Reimbursement) This plan is provided through Allegiance Benefit Plan Management and allows employees to pay for the uncovered or unreimbursed portions of qualified medical costs and/or pay eligible expenses for dependent care with pre-tax dollars. Employees are eligible to participate in the plan the first of the month following date of employment.
Section 132 (Transportation Plan) This plan is provided through Allegiance Benefit Plan Management and allows employees to pay for parking and/or transit passes with pre-tax dollars. Employees are eligible to participate in the plan the first of the month following date of employment.
Bicycle Reimbursement - Learning.com will reimburse a maximum of $20 per month for reasonable expenses incurred by the employee for the purchase of a bicycle, bicycle improvements, repair, and storage, provided the bicycle is regularly used to travel between the employee's residence and Learning.com.
Health - Health insurance is provided through PacificSource Health Plans. Learning.com pays 90% of the premiums for major health insurance for regular full-time employees and 80% for their dependents. The effective date for coverage is the first of the month following date of employment.
Health Club Membership - Learning.com is pleased to offer employees who participate in a health/fitness program $20.00 per month towards the cost of the program. This includes health club memberships/dues, yoga, Pilates, etc. (Recreational activities, weight-loss programs, smoking-cessation programs, and other similar programs do not qualify for reimbursement.). See HR for details.
Holidays - Employees of Learning.com are eligible for ten paid holidays: New Years Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, day after Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, two floating holidays of the employee's choice.
Jury Duty - Employees called to serve on a jury will be paid the difference between their regular straight time base rate of pay and jury pay for up to five (5) working days.
Life Insurance - Learning.com provides term life insurance equal to 1 x annual salary (max. $50,000) for all full-time employees.
Long-Term Disability Insurance - Learning.com provides a Long-Term Disability benefit equal to 60% of basic monthly income.
Office Supply Discount - Employees can save money on personal purchases of office, computer, cleaning, and school supplies as well as office furniture through J. Thayer Company.
Paid Personal Leave - Employees of Learning.com accrue three weeks of Paid Personal Leave (PPL) 0-5 years of employment. This will increase to four weeks after year 5 and increase incrementally every year up to the 16th year of employment.
Social Security - Learning.com pays into the Social Security System for all eligible employees.
Stock Option Plan - Employees of Learning.com are eligible to participate in the company's stock option plan.
Unemployment Insurance - Learning.com provides payment to the State Employment Insurance Fund for unemployment benefits.
Vision Plan - Learning.com provides vision benefits through PacificSource.
Voluntary Life Insurance - All full-time employees of Learning.com are eligible to purchase additional Life Insurance with Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance for themselves, spouse/domestic partner and children.
Worker's Compensation - Learning.com carries worker's compensation insurance for all employees. This insurance provides employees with certain benefits for their dependents and themselves in the event they should suffer an accidental injury arising out of, and in the course of, employment.
